DNKNG Beta — Technical Notice

1. Your data can change or disappear

DNKNG is pre-release. While we build, we may modify, migrate, or delete data — sometimes to fix a bug, sometimes to change how something works, occasionally without advance notice. Treat nothing in the app as a permanent record yet.

2. We expect a full reset at official launch

When DNKNG leaves beta, we plan to reset accounts and data to a clean state.That can include your ratings, statistics, match history, messages, images, and settings. We'll try to preserve or migrate what we reasonably can, and we'll give notice where we can — but we can't guarantee anything carries over. Keep your own copy of anything you care about.

3. No uptime promises

There's no service-level guarantee during beta. Expect occasional downtime, slowness, maintenance windows, and the odd outage while we ship. Backend changes roll out frequently.

4. Breaking changes and forced updates

Features will move, change shape, or be removed. We may require you to update to a newer build to keep using the Service, and older versions may stop working when the backend changes underneath them.

5. AI and automated features can be wrong

Voice and hands-free scoring, score derivation, ratings, transcription, stat enrichment, and generated imagery all lean on automated and AI systems. They can misfire, miss points, mis-attribute, or lag. Please review results and correct them when they matter. DNKNG is not an official scorekeeper, referee, or rating authority — scores and ratings are for play and fun, not for anything where an error would cost you.

6. The microphone records ambient audio — including other people

Voice scoring, broadcast scoring, and capture features record audio from your device microphone when you enable them, and that audio can pick up the voices of everyone near you on the court. Some places legally require that everyone consent to being recorded. Before you record, make sure the people around you are okay with it. You can revoke microphone access anytime in your device settings, which turns these features off. Captured audio and transcripts may be stored and used to run and improve the Service as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. It's not a backup service

DNKNG is not a place to store your only copy of anything. We don't promise data export, and exports — where they exist — may be incomplete during beta.

8. Security is reasonable, not hardened

We take sensible precautions, but the beta isn't locked down to production standards. Don't put sensitive personal information into the app (in profiles, messages, images, or free-text fields).

9. Diagnostics are on

We collect crash reports, performance data, and feature-usage telemetry to find and fix problems quickly. This helps us make the beta better, fast.

10. Free now; maybe paid later — but never by surprise

The beta is free. We may add paid features or seasons in the future, and we'll always tell you before anything costs money. The optional donation lives on the website ([DONATE URL]), is purely voluntary, and unlocks nothing — see the Beta Welcome.

11. How to report problems

Found a bug? Something feel wrong? Tell us at [SUPPORT EMAIL]— short and specific is perfect (what you did, what happened, what you expected). It's the single most useful thing you can do as a tester.
